Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar
on Tuesday took exception to a request by an MLC in the legislative
council to reconsider the transfer of a doctor and urged the
legislative council chairman Tarakant Jha to consider changing
rules to prevent raising of such questions.
Intervening in discussions in the legislative council
after MLC Satish Kumar urged Health Minister Ashwini Chaube to
reconsider the transfer of the medico to Patna as his wife was
unwell, Kumar said the questions about transfer and posting
were a waste of the time of the legislature.

On the health minister`s reply that his department will
consider the transfer request sympathetically, he said
consideration of a matter in a sympathetic manner should be
done judiciously and for those people who happened to be a
deserving ones.
There should be genuine reasons for seeking transfer on
sympathetic ground, he added.
