Patna: The nomination papers of all six
candidates in fray for the five Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar
were today found valid during the scrutiny of papers, the
Additional Returning Officer (ARO) Md Zainul said.

The nomination of all six candidates - RCP Singh and
Upendra Kushwaha (JD(U)), Ram Vilas Paswan and Ram Kripal
Yadav (LJP-RJD), Rajiv Pratap Rudi (BJP) and BG Uday
(Independent) have been found valid, he said.

The last date of withdrawal of candidature has been
fixed for June 10 next and the election will be held on June

However, the JD(U) nominee Kushwaha had a minor scare
when one of the three sets of nomination papers that he had
filed was rejected on technical grounds as the documents
