Patna: The indefinite strike by over three
lakh non-gazetted employees in Bihar today entered its third
day today with no signs of settlement.

Functioning of state government offices across the state
was affected for the third consecutive day today following the
strike called by Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees
Federation (BSNGEF-Gope Group) and Bihar State Non-Gazetted
Employees Federation.

About three lakh non-gazetted employees were on strike to
press for removal of alleged discrepancies in implementation
of the Sixth Pay Commission report.

Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation
(BSNGEF-Gope Group) General Secretary Rambali Prasad and Bihar
State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (BSNGEF) president
Manjar Kumar Das claimed that the functioning of the
offices in Bihar was thoroughly paralysed because of the stir.

"We have not not received any invitation from the state
government for talks for an amicable solution to our demands,"
Prasad said.
