PM Narendra Modi bats for saving environment, launches Mudra scheme in Jharkhand

• The PM lays emphasis on sanitation, says people needed to inculcate a habit of cleanliness in order to fulfil Mahatma Gandhi's dream of a clean India. 
• Reminding people about Gandhi's focus on Khadi, Modi urges them to buy the fabric. "When sales of Khadi increase, the poor benefit."
• Referring to stories of exploitation by moneylenders in the region, Modi underlines his government's commitment towards the poor and spoke of its aim to ensure banking facilities for them. "Opening the doors of banks was not enough for us. We want the poor to make use of the facilities the banks have to offer. We are empowering people for whom the doors of banks were shut, the people who never imagined they'd be free from the clutches of 'sahukars' (money lenders)," Modi says.

• Modi recalls that judges of district courts had once told him that lack of power in court premises hampers the hearing of cases and was a reason behind the pendency and delay in delivery of justice. "I was shocked to realise that districts courts are deprived of basic amenities like power even after 60 years of independence. The judges of Jharkhand found a solution to it here and this court will now run with solar energy. Today it has become the first district court in the country to run with solar energy."
• Referring to the 180 KW Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic system which he inaugurated today, Modi says that if Gujarat or Rajasthan think of solar energy, people will say that it is comprehensible as the two states have no coal, but when Jharkhand, which is rich in coal, does so, it is noticed and the world gets a message from it.
