Police officer injured after hit by a suspected Naxalite woman

A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) was on Sunday injured after a suspected Naxalite woman attacked him with chair at her house in Munger district, police said.

of Police (DSP) was on Sunday injured after a suspected Naxalite
woman attacked him with chair at her house in Munger district,
police said.

DSP Ashish Chandra had gone to the house of Valmiki
Paswan at Sobhana Chak area to investigate a case lodged
against the latter, when Paswan`s wife abused him before
hitting him with a chair, police said.

He sustained injuries in his hand due to a sharp metal
piece of the chair.

A case has been registered against the woman, said to
be a Naxalite, on charges of attempt to murder of the police
official.

The woman has, however, been not been arrested yet.
