Protests continue in Bihar for Anna
IAC continues the wider mass contract programme to create awareness among the people against corruption.
Patna: The agitation by students, intellectuals and activists of Bihar unit of `India Against Corruption`, the umbrella body of the citizen`s movement fighting for a strong Lokpal, continued for the fifth day on Saturday, in Bihar in support of Anna Hazare`s movement.
The IAC activists held fast, brought out processions, staged sit-in demonstrations and continued the signature campaign and mass contact programme at different places in the state expressing their solidarity with the team Anna.
The advocates under the banners of Commercial Tax Advocate Association and IAC activists undertook padyatras in the state capital jointly, state IAC Convenor Sanjay Dutta said.
Meanwhile, the IAC continued the wider mass contract programme to create awareness among the people against corruption.
Dutta said, that during the contact programme, the activists would apprise the people of the reasons leading to the arrest of Anna Hazare and his campaign for the Jan Lokpal bill.
"Our activists are visiting every village and town in the state as part of wider campaign expressing solidarity with the movement launched by Gandhian social activist Anna Hazare against corruption," he further added.
