Purve appointed as the RJD state president

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad appointed Ram Chandra Purve as the state unit president.

Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Sunday appointed a former minister Ram Chandra Purve as the state unit president in place of Abdul Bari Siddique.

Siddique had recently resigned from the post of the state unit RJD President after he was elected as the leader of the opposition in the newly-constituted assembly.

Another former minister Vidya Sagar Nishad has been made the state unit RJD Vice-President, Ram Kripal Yadav the party` chief general secretary and Kumar Rakesh Ranjan its treasurer.
Prasad has rejected the resignation of Ram Vachan Rai from the post of the state unit general secretary and asked him to continue in the post.
Former minister Shakeel Ahmed Khan has been elevated to the post of the chief spokesman of state unit RJD, while former MLA Shiv Chandra Ram has been made the RJD(Youth) President.
