Patna: The ruling Janata Dal(U) on Sunday
received a boost ahead of the assembly elections in Bihar with
former Bihar minister and RJD MLA from Dhanaha assembly
constituency Rajesh Singh joining JD(U) with hundreds of his
supporters here today.
After joining the party in the presence of state JD(U)
President, Vijay Kumar Choudhry and a number of party leaders,
Singh said he had decided to leave the party of Lalu Prasad as
he along with LJP supremo Ramvilas Paswan was dividing the
society on caste lines and did not initiate any measures to
develop the state.
Singh alleged that the two leaders had befooled the
minority community by making tall promises for their
development but never fulfilled the promises, while Kumar
during his 57-month of rule initiated a number of measures for
improving the lot of the minority communities - particularly
Choudhury alleged that both Prasad and Paswan were
interested in improving the lot of their family members and
hence they projected the name of Lalu Prasad
as chief ministerial candidate and Pashupati Kumar Paras,
brother of Paswan as deuty chief minister.
