RJD to intensify agitation against Nitish government

Patna: Alleging that the law and order
situation was `gradually declining` in Bihar, the RJD on Friday
said they would take up the issue with Governor at
the earliest.

"The RJD leaders would petition Governor Devanand
Konwar seeking his immediate intervention to improve law and
order in Bihar," state RJD President Ramchandra Purve and
General Secretary Ramkripal Yadav told reporters here.
"After the NDA having staged a comeback in Bihar, the
law and order situation has started gradually declining",
Purve said threatening to launch an intense agitation.

Purve alleged that more than 100 cases relating to
murder and several others, linked with kidnapping for ransom,
were reported from different parts of Bihar in the past one
fortnight.
"Even a dalit woman was raped and an undertrial got
beaten to death by another inmate in connivance with jail
authorities in Nawada recently", he claimed.

"We will not sit idle and soon work out an agitaional
plan to intensify the campaign against Nitish Kumar
government", Purve said.
