Gaya: Unidentified gunmen looted
Rs 7.93 lakh in cash and bank drafts of Rs 16.98 lakh from the
cashier of a motor company near a nationalised bank in
Bihar`s Gaya town today, police said.
Ten guards on security were later suspended on charge
of lapse in duty, police said.
Sidhartha, cashier of `Parina Motors`, was on way to
the Bank of Baroda branch to deposit the money and drafts in
the company account, when he was intercepted by two
motorcycle-borne youths who snatched the bag containing the
money and drafts.
Ten homeguards, deployed at the bank for security,
were later suspended on charge of dereliction of duty, Senior
Superintendent of Police (Gaya) Amit Lodha said.
