SAP jawans among two killed, 4 policemen injured in clash
Two persons, including a policeman, were killed and four other policemen injured in a clash between encroachers and a police party at village Bhavnandpur in Bihar`s Begusarai district.

clash between encroachers and a police party at village
Bhavnandpur in Bihar`s Begusarai district on Saturday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Vivekanand said a group of
villagers, belonging to Yadav community, had forcibly occupied
a plot owned by Ram Padarath Singh in the village and
constructed over 15 huts.
Despite several reminders, the encroachers had refused to
accept the administrative order to vacate the plot, he said.
The encrochers turned violent and clashed with the police
personnel when they reached the village to remove the illegal
huts this morning, Vivekanand said adding the mob later
overpowered a Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) jawan Umashankar
and beat him to death. A villager Bhulla Yadav was also killed
in the clash, he said.
Four policemen - SAP jawan Indradeo Mandal, police
constables Anjali Yadav, Kumud Paswan and Ashok Rajak, who
were injured in the clash, - were rushed to a government
hospital here for treatment, he said.
The situation was controlled when reinforcements led by
Superintendent of Police Chhatranil Singh reached the spot.
However, tension prevailed in the area after the incident.
