Seven detained in Bihar school-boy kidnapping case

A couple of days after a six-year-old school boy was kidnapped from the city, the police has detained seven persons in the case.

Patna: A couple of days after a six-year-old school boy was kidnapped from the city, the police has detained seven persons in the case.

"We have detained seven persons, including the driver of
the vehicle by which the boy was going to school," Senior
Superintendent of Police Vinit Vinayak said on Wednesday.

However, he said, there is no breakthrough in the
kidnapping case adding a special task force constituted to
rescue the boy has stepped up its search operations.

Shreya, a Class 1 student, was kidnapped Monday by three
motorcycle-borne youths when he was on his way to Christ
Church school from his residence at Kankerbagh.

The trio intercepted a pool car, carrying him and other
students, and took away the boy, son of a private firm
official Sanjay Srivastava, at gunpoint.
