Sharad gives Rs 1,05,000 to Nitish

Responding to CM Nitish Kumar`s appeal to JD(U) ministers, MPs and MLAs to contribute their one month`s salary for the Green Bihar Campaign, party chief Sharad Yadav Tuesday gave a cheque of Rs 1,05,000 to him for the purpose.

Kumar`s appeal to JD(U) ministers, MPs and legislators to contribute their one month`s salary for the Green Bihar Campaign, party national president Sharad Yadav Tuesday gave a
cheque of Rs 1,05,000 to him for the purpose.

Yadav, accompanied by party Rajya Sabha MP R C P Singh and spokesman Sanjay Singh drove to Kumar`s residence and handed over the cheque.

He also lauded the efforts made by Kumar for increasing
the green cover in Bihar and the two leaders took stock of the
political situation in the country.

As part of the campaign Kumar had laid thrust on
enrolling more than 50 lakh new members into JD(U) in Bihar
and aspirants would have to plant a tree each in their
respective areas.
He had also asked ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs belonging
to the party to plant a tree each in their respective
constituencies.
