New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kirti Azad on Tuesday reportedly came out in support of Rajya Sabha MP and JD(U) general secretary Shivanad Tiwari who had hailed the party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Commenting on the issue, Azad said that Tiwari had spoken the truth, as per a news report.

"The truth can be suppressed but cannot be hidden," he reportedly said.

Azad's comment comes after Tiwari hailed Modi at the party's JD(U)'s 'Chintin Shivir' in Rajgir and said that Modi, despite being from poor background, rose to great heights.

“I am an admirer of Modi. Coming from a poor background, he has worked hard to reach where he has today,” Tiwari said.

He, however, added that Modi’s ideology is a big challenge for them.

BJP and JD(U) had parted ways earlier this year after 17 years of alliance.
