Patna: Six candidates are in the fray for
election to the five Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar to be held
on June 17, Bihar Assembly secretary-cum returning officer
Surendera Sharma said today.
No candidate withdrew his nomination today, the last
date for withdrawal of nomination, Sharma said.
The candidates are - Ram Chandra Prasad Singh and
Upendra Kushwaha (JD-U), Ram Vilas Paswan and Ram Kripal
Yadav(LJP-RJD combine), Rajiv Pratap Rudy (BJP) and BG Uday
(Independent), Sharma said.
A candidate required 41 votes for victory in the
ensuing Rajya Sabha polls, the Returning Officer said.
