Bhagalpur: A local court Tuesday sentenced six persons -- father and his five sons, to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of their own brother in Bhagalpur district.
Additional District and Sessions Judge N K Gupta found Md Ataur Rehman and his five sons guilty of killing their own brother Md Ekram at Ali Bux Lane under Nathnagar police station in the district on September 9, 2008 following family dispute.
Gupta awarded life term to all the six.
Besides Ataur Rehaman, his convicted sons were Md Jabir Abbas, Md Imran, Md Mehboob, Md Afroj and Safi Alam.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs five thousand on each of the convicts.
