Purnia: Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address a rally here on Monday ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Modi`s last rally in Bihar was in Muzaffarpur where LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan shared the dais after his party`s alliance with the BJP was announced.

The Gujarat Chief Minister on Monday is to address a public meeting at Purnia`s historic Ranbhoomi Ground which has a capacity to accommodate 1.5 to two lakh people.

Modi`s rally here assumes significance in view of the district and adjoining areas having a large population of the minority community.

State BJP leaders like Sushil Kumar Modi and party`s Lok Sabha MP from Purnia, Uday Singh, visited the venue on Sunday to check the preparations for the rally.

CP Thakur, whose absence from the Muzaffarpur rally was conspicuous is likely to share the dais with Modi here.

Sushil Kumar Modi expressed his satisfaction at the preparations on Twitter and posted pictures of the rally venue.
