Ten agitating undertrials shifted in Bihar jail
Ten undertrials who had launched an indefinite fast inside the jail were on Thursday shifted from a divisional jail here in Bihar`s Nalanda to Bhagalpur Central Jail in Bhagalpur, sources said.

shifted from a divisional jail here in Bihar`s Nalanda to
Bhagalpur Central Jail in Bhagalpur, sources said.
The jailor of Biharsharief Jitendra Narayan Singh was
also shifted to Sekhpura divisional jail on administrative
grounds, they said.
Several prisoners launched an indefinite fast inside
Biharsharief jail to protest against the death of an inmate
Rajkumar Singh alias Munna Singh, sources said.
The agitation was called off following intervention of
senior administrative officials, officials said.
The inmates who were transferred from Biharsharief jail
to Bhagalpur central jail, included Ajit Singh, Dixa Singh, Manoj
Yadav, Pitambar Reddy, Kaila Yadav, Kamlesh Kumar, Arjun
Singh, Chitranjan and Shailesh Mahato, sources said.
They were arrested in cases related to murder,
kidnapping and extortion in the wake of the stir inside the
jail, they said.
Three of the protesters were admitted at Sadar hospital
after their condition worsened during the fast yesterday,
Munna Singh died in a mysterious circumstances inside the
jail on June 24.
