Ten persons, including a cop, injured in a clash

Banka(Bihar): Ten persons, including a
police officer, were today injured in a clash between two
communities at Dhannichak village in Banka district, police
sources said.

A clash broke out between youths of two communities of
Dhannichak and adjoining Katoria village during a cricket
match after which elders also clashed in which nine persons
were injured, the sources said.

The officer-in-charge of Amarpur police station Vinod
Kumar who went to broker peace between the two communities was
also injured, they said.

The Superintendent of Police Shyam Kumar and other
officials were camping in the village, the sources said adding
additional police forces have been deployed in the area to
maintain peace.
