Three Shab-e-Baraat revellers killed, eight injured in Bihar mishap

Three Shab-e-Baraat revellers died on the spot, while eight others were left seriously injured when a truck hit an autorickshaw in Madhubani district of Bihar during the wee hours on Wednesday, a police official said.

The accident happened at Narahaiya Bazar. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Qadir (29), Mohammad Kalam (31) and Mohammad Naushad (36).

Altogether 11 persons were travelling in an auto-rickshaw, celebrating Shab-e-baraat during the wee hours, when the speeding truck rammed into the vehicle.

Three persons died on the spot, while eight others have been admitted to a government hospital, the official said.

Three of the eight injured were in critical condition and have been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for better treatment. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
