Two get lifer in Bihar for kidnapping school boy

A Bihar court sentenced two persons to life imprisonment in connection with kidnapping of a school boy in Munger district in 2003.

Munger: A Bihar court on Monday sentenced two
persons to life imprisonment in connection with kidnapping of
a school boy in Munger district in 2003.

Additional District and Session Judge P.K.Mallick found
Faiyaz and Bhushan Mahto guilty of kidnapping Ankesh, son of
an agriculture scientist Abhay Manker, and awarded life turn
to them.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of
them. Ankesh was kidnapped by them when he was going to his
school here on September 18, 2003.
After holding him captive for seventeen days, the
kidnappers had released him following heavy police pressure.
