Youth’s arrest by cops aimed to defame Bihar: RJD
The RJD alleged that move to arrest a youth from Bihar for being a "terrorist" was a calculated attempt to defame the state`s image.
Patna: The RJD on Thursday alleged that Delhi
police move to arrest a youth from Bihar`s Darbhanga district
for being a "terrorist" was a calculated attempt to
defame the state`s image.
"The arrest of a youth Md Kafil by Delhi police for
being a "terrorist" from Darbhanga two days ago among 11 such
arrests made by Delhi and Maharashtra police in the past one
year was a calculated conspiracy to defame the state`s image,"
the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Gulam Gaus
told reporters here.
Quoting conversation with Kafil`s fellow villagers and
his wife, the RJD leader said that they told him "that he had
never visited Delhi in his life time."
The kin of Kafil also said that he had gone to Saudi
Arabia for work and was carrying out bicycle repair for
livelihood since return from the Arab country, Gaus claimed.
Kafil was arrested by the Delhi police and charged
under the arms act, counterfeit currency, explosives act,
passport act in a case lodged at Lodhi police station in a
terror case of 2011.
