New Delhi: Italian auto major Fiat Group
on Wednesday reported a global net loss of 283 million euro for the
quarter ended December 31, 2009.
The group had posted a net profit of 180 million euro in
the same period in 2008, Fiat said in a statement.
It, however, reported an increase of 3.56 per cent in its
global revenue in the last quarter of 2009 at 13.61 billion
euro, as against 13.13 billion euro during the corresponding
period of previous year.
The firm also reported a net loss of 848 million euro
during 2009 fiscal year. It had a net profit of 1,721 million
euro during the fourth quarter of 2008.
Its global revenue for 2009 fiscal also dipped by 15.89
per cent at 50.10 billion euro compared to 59.56 billion
euro in 2008, the group added.
