Mumbai: Carmaker Ford India on Wednesday reported a 13.5 percent increase in its year-on-year sales at 2,520 units during November as against 2,219 in the same month last year, and said a price hike is on the anvil.
"It has been an exciting month with the Ford Ikon being ranked number 1 by J D Power's New Vehicle Initial Quality 2009 study in the entry mid-size segment and the sales
growing on a year-on-year basis," Ford India Executive
Director, Marketing (Sales & Service), Nigel Wark, said here.
"We will continue to leverage the momentum gained and
build on as we get ready for the launch of the Ford Figo,"
Wark said.
Ford India will be hiking prices of all models across
the board in January. The upward price revision is due to
steady rise in input cost and exchange rate fluctuations, the
company said in a statement.
