New Delhi, May 24: India and Japan on Thursday entered
into an agreement to cooperate in the field of Intellectual
Property Rights and will draw up an action plan for
implementing the agreement.
Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath and Japanese
Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Akira Amari signed a
Memorandum of Understanding to this effect in Tokyo, an
official release said.
As per the MoU, the two countries would engage in
capacity building, human resource development, public
awareness programmes and information exchange.
Both countries would draw up annual action plans to
implement the MoU, which would include detailed planning for
carrying out co-operation activities, the release added.
