New Delhi: Continuing its focus on low cost model of operations, private carrier Jet Airways will shift 45 flights to its no-frill service brand Jet Airways Konnect by October.
Jet Airways Konnect will launch new flights all through September uptil October 1 to enhance its connectivity from metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata to several smaller cities.
It currently operates 135 flights per day with nine Boeing and 11 ATR aircraft. The number of flights will go up to 180 per day by October 1 with the addition of six more Boeing 737 jets.
"Jet Airways Konnect has proven to be very popular with travellers across India. With strong demand for Konnect services, we are confident that the new flights will be well-appreciated," Jet Airways CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said in a statement.
As part of its network enhancement exercise, Jet Airways Konnect will start Kolkata-Guwahati flights from September 3 and Delhi-Chennai from September 15. On October 1, it will commence Delhi-Kolkata services.

The new all economy no-frills Jet Airways Konnect will launch its services from September on a number of key domestic routes earlier served by its parent airline Jet Airways.
The new Jet Airways Konnect flights will be launched from September 3 and are expected to further enhance the airline's domestic connectivity from metros -- Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata to smaller cities.
It will increase its services on Kolkata-Delhi/ Bagdogra/Guwahati-Kolkata routes from September 3, while new flights will be launched on Delhi-Pune, Guwahati-Delhi and Delhi-Chennai from September 15.
