Zee Business best B-School survey: IIM-A still No 1

New Delhi: The Zee Business survey of best B-Schools in India has thrown up interesting results this year. While IIM -Ahmedabad retains its place at the top spot, followed by IIM-Bangalore and IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Lucknow has been left behind by both XLRI and IIPM in the overall rankings.

IIPM has gained in this year’s ranking, coming up from number 7 last year to the 5th position this year in the overall rankings.

Like last year, the top rankers in Industry interface and Placement have been the three IIMs - A, B and C - in that order. However, IIM - Calcutta improved its infrastructure and pushed back IIM - Bangalore this year. In Global exposure IIPM and FMS - Delhi ruled again this year. Second and third ranking IIM - Ahmedabad and Bangalore exchanged places.

The survey was done after interviewing faculty members from different B-schools, recruiters, students, and young professionals. They were asked to rate the schools over a range of parameters covering overall placements, global placements, international internships, global faculty, student exchange programs, industry interface, faculty – both in-house & visiting, course contents, research & publications and infrastructure.

Guys everyone has many queries about IIPM s it a fraud coll r not even i to had d same doubt, but everyone think one thing in mind if u r successful person then u need only a platform to perform and not place where u perform, and i joined IIPM and found out d difference, and only d looser will expect institution recognition and arpproval of AICTE, for those loosers, IIPM has an added option of getting u an approved degree where they hav tie ups wit affiliated colleges so u ll get a degree which s approved, wats else u want and abt placement they r doing good wit reputed companies, try 2 hav guts 4r facing it B4 pointing out on something

Someone had mis-spelt IIPM as PIMP. May be he unknowingly came to know of the truth. Such surveys deserve a comment nothing better than this. Comparing IIPM whose floodgates are open to any x-y-z, with IIMs having long queue of several Lacs, is of no sense.

So this survey mean to say that now we must not target JBIMS and FMS or any such college but we must work hard to get into IIPM??See we are not against the fact that IIPM is bad, but such a survey is bakwaas. Can the surveyer show us the authenticity of this survey. I am sure it can not be done. If IIPM is ranked so high then why so many comapanies prefer FMS and like colleges than IIPM?? Please do not misguide students and it is a shame on such a reputed surveyer to put such survey publicly in which even they know what they are writing is .... Media must wake up now and must show the correct picture to the world. I am sorry if I have hurt any emotions, and again I am saying I am against or in favour of any college but this survey I am sure most of us will never agree to..
