Raipur: As many as 96 foreigners are living illegally in India`s Maoist insurgency-hit Chhattisgarh, the state`s home minister Nankiram Kanwar told the legislative Assembly Tuesday.

"A total of 1,887 foreigners, including 1,143 Pakistani nationals, were living in Chhattisgarh when the last data was compiled Feb 4, 2011," Kanwar told the house in a written reply.
