C`garh police recover explosives from Naxals

Chhattisgarh police on Saturday exchanged fire with a group of Naxals for about an hour in the forest at village Sabalpur and managed to recover some explosives abandoned by the outlaws.

village Sabalpur and managed to recover some explosives
abandoned by the outlaws.

Additional Police Superintendent of Rajnandgaon S R Salam
said a joint team of Indo-Tibet Police and the District Police
which was patrolling today in the forest near villages
Sambalpur and Badegaon was attacked by the Naxals.

The Police returned the fire. The firing from both the
sides went on for about an hour. Later, the outlaws fled from
the scene but the police managed to recover explosives and
some items of daily necessities left behind by them.
