Chhattisgarh: Commission of inquiry to probe encounter in Chintalnar

Chhattisgarh government set up a commission of inquiry to probe an alleged encounter between police and naxals in Chintalnar area of Dantewada district in March this year.



Raipur: Chhattisgarh government on Thursday set up
a commission of inquiry to probe an alleged encounter between
police and naxals in Chintalnar area of Dantewada district in
March this year.

The commission will be headed by Justice TP Sharma of
Chhattisgarh High Court.

Among other things, the commission will find out whether
the encounter took place at villages Morpalli, Tadmetla and
Timmapuram between March 11 and March 16.

It will also probe the alleged incidents of arson in
these village during this period.

Locals had alleged that after the encounter, police had
set some houses in these village on fire and had misbehaved
with women.
