Raipur: The opposition Congress twice staged
a walkout from the Chhattisgarh Assembly today over the
alleged favour shown by the state government to a private
company and rising inflation.
Congress MLA Shakajit Naik raised the issue of action
taken against black-marketeers.
Not satisfied with Food and Civil Supplies Minister
Punnulal Mohle`s reply, the Congress legislators alleged the
government`s inaction in this regard was leading to price rise
of food items and staged a walkout.
Later, after the proceedings resumed, Congress MLA
Mohammad Akbar alleged the government amended the layout plan
of the Industrial Growth Centre at village Borai in Durg
district to favour a company.
He claimed that the revision of the plans benefited
Pushpa Steel Company.
Again not satisfied with the government`s reply, they
staged a walkout.
