Raipur: One person was arrested here for
possession of around 800 doses of fortwin injections
containing morphine, police said today.
Medical representative Vishal Hotwani was held in
Santoshi Nagar area here after a tip of that he is smuggling
the consignment into the city from neighbouring Dhamtari
district, they said.
These prohibited injections, containing habit-forming
drugs, can be obtained only on medical prescription, police
said.
The vials, bought from Anil Nichlani Medical Stores in
Dhamtari, were being brought to the city by Hotwani for
selling it at higher prices, they said.
Hotwani is being further interrogated, police added.
