Naxal attack: Govt will deal with issue seriously, says Rijiju

New Delhi: Shortly after Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh killed 13 CRPF personnel, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, on Monday said that the government is seriously looking into the issue.

“The government has already said that the issue will be dealt with seriously,” Rijiju told ANI.

Rijiju further said that the operation is going on and location of the incident is making it difficult to get the correct information.

The attack, which took place in Chhatisgarh's Sukma district killed 13 CRPF personnel and two officers

The Naxals attacked the CRPF personnel after laying a trap in Chintagufa area where they used villagers as human shields, according to news reports.

A massive attack and rescue operation is being undertaken by the CRPF presently.
