One more Naxal arrested for attack on Cong leader`s house

One more Naxalite has been arrested today in connection with the attack on Congress leader`s house and a police station in Chhattisgarh`s Dantewada district.

Raipur: One more Naxalite has been arrested
today in connection with the attack on Congress leader`s house
and a police station in Chhattisgarh`s Dantewada district.

The arrested Naxal has been identified as Lala Ram
Kunjam, Dantewada police said, adding with this total
number of persons arrested in this case has risen to seven.

Six Naxals - Channu Ram Mandavi, Annu Futane alias Anil
Kumar, Sudru Ram Kunjam, Aanda, Harish Podiyami, and Ramu
Bhaskar - were arrested yesterday for the attack on the house
of Congress leader Avdesh Gautam on July 8 killing two of his
relatives and injuring two others.

Also, the police have intensified the search for
Lingaram, the alleged mastermind of the attack.

Kunjam was arrested from Patelpara village in the
district.

Meanwhile, the Naxalites who were arrested yesterday have
been sent to jail.

According to the police, Kunjam had recently returned
from Delhi after completing a course related to journalism.
After the death Naxal leader Azad, the Maoists wanted to
project Kunjam as their spokesperson, police said.
