Raipur: Four persons, including a woman,
were killed after they allegedly consumed spurious liquor in
Baradawar slum of Janjgir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh.

"The district administration has ordered a probe into
the matter," District Collector B C Mishra said today.
The victims, all working as labourers, consumed the
the illicit brew last night. The spurious liquor was allegedly
manufactured in the slum by a youth identified as Narad.

The youth, against whom the police had registered an
offence, had been hospitalised in a critical condition as he
too had consumed the illicit liquor.
Mishra said Narad was earlier arrested by the police
for selling illicit liquor. After his release, he continued
with the same trade.

The four persons who consumed the spurious liquor
started vomiting and were rushed to a private hospital. As the
condition of all the four was critical, they were rushed to
government hospital, where they were declared dead on
admission.
