Raipur: A 22-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Urla area, police said on Tuesday.
"Tukaram Nishad was nabbed today after the girl's father lodged a complaint with the Urla police station," Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lal Umed Singh told PTI.
Tukaram, who was living near the six-year-old victim's house, used to frequently visit her family.
On Sunday evening, he took the girl with him on the pretext of giving her sweets and raped her, Singh said adding that further probe was on.
