New Delhi: The country's second-largest
software exporter Infosys Technologies on Monday said it has
opened a second development centre in Latin America.
The new centre in Monterrey, Mexico will offer IT
services, including business and IT consulting, BPO, packaged
software implementation and infrastructure management, Infosys
said in a statement.
The new development centre would be managed by company
subsidiary, Infosys Technologies S De R L De CV, it added.
"From our first development centre opening with a few
clients and a dozen employees, we now have some 30 clients and
330 professionals," Infosys Technologies Senior Vice-President
and member of Executive Council Ashok Vemuri said.
Both the Monterrey facilities serve clients primarily in
the North America, Latin America and Europe.
The new centre will cater to clients in industries like
banking, financial services, manufacturing, retail,
distribution and insurance.
Infosys has development centres across Czech Republic,
Poland, Thailand, Philippines, China, Australia and India.
