New Delhi: Anil Ambani group firm RNRL on Sunday said RIL's communication to the government is a conclusive evidence that there were no takers for the gas at high prices offered by it.
Commenting on RIL's letter, an RNRL spokesperson said, "RIL's letter conclusively demonstrates that customers are not willing to buy gas at these high prices".
In a letter to Petroleum Secretary R S Pandey, RIL has said that customers identified by the government to receive the initial 40 million standard cubic meters per day of gas from the KG-D6 fields, NTPC, Dabhol, Essar and GAIL are yet to draw a single unit.
The letter was written by RIL Executive Director and Head of Oil and Gas Business PMS Prasad.
