New Delhi: As many as 17 people tested positive for swine flu here, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 104 in the national capital, an official said Tuesday.
"Seventeen people have tested positive for the influenza A (H1N1) in Delhi," Debashish Bhattacharya, nodal officer for swine flu, told IANS.
Delhi has so far reported seven swine flu deaths this year. There have been as many as 1,692 swine flu related deaths in the country since its outbreak in May 2009.
Seven fresh dengue cases in Delhi
The national capital also reported seven fresh confirmed cases of dengue, taking the number of people affected by the mosquito-borne disease to 68 this year, an official said.
"Seven people tested positive for dengue in Delhi today (Tuesday)," N.K. Yadav, chief medical officer of Municipal Corporation of Delhi, told IANS.
One person has died due to dengue in Delhi this year.
