New Delhi: Attacking Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over government formation in the national capital, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said the leaders of the new political outfit are confused.

Addressing the media, Gadkari, who heads the Delhi BJP unit said that the AAP is a confused party with confused leaders.

Attacking the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP, the BJP leader said if the new political outfit wants to form the government in Delhi they should do it and if not they should mention it.

Gadkari further accused the AAP of acting in line with the Maoist ideology.

Gadkari’s reaction comes after, Kejriwal yesterday said it would seek a "yes" or "no" from the people following a split verdict that has given no political party enough seats in the 70-member assembly to take power on its own.

"If the people say `yes`, we will form a government," Kejriwal told the media.

The AAP had a stunning debut in Delhi elections and won 28 seats in the 70-member Assembly.

Both the BJP and Congress have been criticising the AAP of not willing to form the government.

Congress, which only managed to bag 8 seats in the Delhi polls, has offered outside support to the new political outfit.

The tenure of the current Assembly will end on December 18 and President`s Rule has to be imposed after that if a government is not put in place by then, top officials said.

The BJP had declined to form government citing lack of majority following which Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung had invited AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal to discuss government formation.

BJP has repeatedly attacked AAP saying the party was not interested in forming the government as it will not be able to fulfill the promises made in its manifesto.
