New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members Farhana and Shakeel Anjum joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday ahead of Delhi Assembly elections.
Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay confirmed this as he tweeted, "We welcome AAP members Ms Farhana Anjum, Shakeel Anjum and others in BJP. Party growing stronger."

Farhana Anjum had contested the 2013 Assembly polls from Walled City's Ballimaran constituency against Congress heavyweight Haroon Yusuf, and lost.
Anjum had bagged 13103 votes as compared to Yusuf's 32105, and finished fourth behind BJP and BSP candidates.
Her induction into the BJP will likely bolster the saffron party's support-base among minorities.
