Absconding accused in PF scam surrenders before court

Ghaziabad: An absconding accused in the 2008
Rs 6.58 crore Provident Fund scam has surrendered before the
special CBI court here, sources said.

"The accused, Lokesh Kumar, surrendered himself before
special CBI court Judge Shyam Lal yesterday, who has sent him
to the district jail where other 70 accused allegedly involved
in the scam have been lodged," court sources said.
Kumar, a court employee, was absconding and did not
appear before the court in last two years despite being
summoned several times, they said.
Earlier, six judges allegedly involved in the scam were
granted bail by the court.
