New Delhi: BJP`s student wing ABVP has
called for a strike in Delhi University tomorrow to protest
the murder of a girl outside her college in the capital.

According to ABVP Delhi Secretary Rohit Chahal,
students of all the colleges affiliated with the university
have been asked to participate in the strike.

The call came during the third day of protests in the
campus.

Radhika Tanwar (20), a second-year degree student, was
shot dead on a foot-over-bridge outside Ramlal Anand College
in Dhaula Kuan`s Shantiniketan on Tuesday by an unidentified
person.

During the protests, students blocked traffic near
Delhi University north campus. A number of students
participated in the protest.

Addressing a press conference, DU Students Union
president Jitender Chaudhary alleged that the university
administration and police have failed to provide security to
students.

"The Delhi University administration need to be
sensitive to ensure the safety and security of women. The
national capital has become unsafe for woman," Chaudhury said.
Chaudhury appealed to students to participate in the
strike.
