Afghan national shot at in Delhi

An Afghan national was injured in a firing incident while his local friend received injuries in a related fight at Khirki Extension in Malviya Nagar area in the today, police said.

New Delhi: An Afghan national was injured in a firing incident while his local friend received injuries in a related fight at Khirki Extension in Malviya Nagar area in the today, police said.

According to police sources, the Afghan national Mustafa and his friend Shahrukh were having snacks at a shop near Sai Baba temple in Khirki Extension at around 6.30 pm when the incident occured.

Some youths who came to the shop had some argument with the duo after which one of them whipped out a gun and fired, injuring mustafa in the back and leg. Shahrukh was wounded and received head injury as he was hit with some blunt object, they said.

Both were admitted to hospital and the police was looking out for attackers who fled away after the incident, a senior police officer said.
