The LG today held consultations with BJP, Congress and AAP to explore possibility of govt formation in Delhi.

After the meeting the LG's office said in a press release: “In meeting with Lt Governor, all the parties expressed their inability to form the government,” as per ANI.

It also said that the Lt Governor would be sending his report to the President.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “We have a firm believe of victory in whatever comes from the constitutional process.”

On the other hand the Congress welcomed the decision. “ We welcome LG's decision. When we go between people the morale of our cadre will boost.”

On AAP's prospects he said, “Every party is a challenge but I don't think AAP can do much in these polls.

In the meeting today, the BJP had declined the LG's offer to form a government, while AAP and Congress had made it clear that they were in favour of immediate elections, as per PTI.

The LG had held consultations in the wake of the Supreme Court putting the issue on the fast track and giving him time till November 11 to explore the possibility of forming a government.
