New Delhi: A report on Thursday claimed that Arvind Kejriwal has made his mind to give up the Delhi Chief Minister's post and contest the Punjab Assembly Elections as the chief ministerial candidate for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The report in The Telegraph added that Kejriwal will instal his deputy Manish Sisodia in Delhi.

However, Ashutosh, an official spokesperson of AAP, rubbished the media reports:

Punjab is slated to go to polls in 2017. AAP has 67 MLAs in the 70-member Delhi Assembly.

Earlier this month, Kejriwal had said that a repeat of Delhi's unprecedented mandate to Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab "won't surprise" him.
