Arvind Kejriwal targets Lt Governor as Waqf Board dissolved, Manish Sisodia summoned

Manish Sisodia was summoned by the ACB in connection with its probe into an alleged recruitment scam in DCW.

New Delhi: In a veiled attack at Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said several obstacles are being created for his government "because we are doing good work".

Kejriwal made references to dissolution today of Delhi Waqf Board by Jung, summons issued to deputy CM Manish Sisodia by ACB, and quashing last month of his government's notification on circle rates of agriculture land by the L-G.

"Ag land Circle rates declared void, manish summoned by ACB, waqf board disbanded-several obstacles being created only bcoz v doing gud work(sic)," he tweeted.

Today, the Lt Governor dissolved Delhi Waqf Board over alleged irregularities while handing the matter to CBI for a probe.

Earlier in the day, Sisodia was summoned by the ACB in connection with its probe into an alleged recruitment scam in Delhi Commission for Women (DCW).

He will be questioned on October 14.

Earlier this week, the L-G had struck down the Delhi government's notification of August 4, 2015 that revised circle rates of agricultural lands.

He sought fresh proposal with a draft notification after rectifying the "infirmities" in the government's notification pointed out by his office.
