New Delhi: Ahead of Supreme Court's hearing on government formation in the capital, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday wondered whether the President had returned file in which Lieutenant Governor had recommended that the BJP should be invited to form the government.

In a tweet Kejriwal said the President had returned the file to the Union Home Ministry, but in the same length asked whether the news was true.

"LG recommended that BPP shud be invited to form govt. Sources - President has returned file to Home min. True?" the former Delhi Chief Minister tweeted.

The apex court on September 9 had asked the Centre to apprise it on October 10 the outcome of the process undertaken by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on government formation in Delhi, saying "alleged horse-trading" will continue if a decision is not taken.

On September 4, Jung had sent a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee seeking permission to call BJP, the single largest party, to take a shot at power though it is well short of majority in the Assembly.
