New Delhi: A 30-year-old manager of a
private bank was found dead on railway tracks in an east Delhi
locality this morning and police suspected it to be a case of
The body of Anjani Thakur, who got married just 45 days
ago, was found with an injury mark on his head on the tracks
in Pandav Nagar area this morning by a passerby, a senior
police official said.
Thakur, who hails from Bihar`s Darbhanga district, worked
as a senior manager with Kotak Mahindra Bank here. He stays in
an apartment in Pandav Nagar and his body was found on the
tracks which was near his house.
"There was a wound on his forehead. We suspect that he
was hit with a blunt object. It appears to be a case of
robbery-cum-murder. His belongings are missing," the official
Investigators suspect he might have resisted the robbery
attempt which led to his murder.
The body has been sent for post mortem.
