New Delhi: German Ambassador to India Michael Steiner on Sunday opined that the documentary on the Nirbhaya rape case made by the BBC portrays the `reality` in India, adding that its broadcasting is necessary to bring about change in the country.
"The BBC documentary is showing reality and I think that is what women here want. It is encouraging that a debate is ongoing [on whether it showed be broadcast]. There is a need to show things as they are, because that is what brings change," Steiner told ANI.
The documentary in question, titled `India`s Daughter`, includes an interview of Mukesh Singh, who is among the six men accused of gang-raping a 23-year-old girl on December 16, 2012 on board a moving bus.
